Grendizer on the package of Tasali chips in Collaboration between Manga Productions and PepsiCo

Riyadh, 26 Jun 2024: Manga Productions, a subsidiary of Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk”, have signed a partnership agreement with PepsiCo to feature the beloved character “Grendizer” from the classic series on PepsiCo’s popular “Tasali” potato chips. This agreement marks a strategic effort by both companies to achieve sustainable success and growth. Starting in August 2024, PepsiCo will feature the “Grendizer” character on “Tasali” potato chips across the Gulf countries and Jordan.

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, stated: “We are pleased to collaborate with PepsiCo to grant them the rights to use the character ‘Grendizer’ in coordination with our partners in Japan, believing in the importance of the distribution, licensing, and investment fields. This collaboration reflects our dedication to meeting the aspirations of ‘Grendizer’ fans and enhancing the presence of the beloved character in the markets. We also emphasize the importance of the talented Saudi youth at Manga Productions in the success of this collaboration and ensuring its implementation at the highest level of efficiency and excellence.”

Manga Productions, in collaboration with Dynamic Planning, holds global distribution and marketing rights for the “Grendizer U” series (excluding Japan), set to be released in July. Moreover, Manga Productions partnered with Microids to publish the game “UFO Robot Grendizer – The Feast of the Wolves” in the Middle East and North Africa last year.
