Manga Productions Wins the Profit Cultural Institutions Award at the 2025 National Cultural Awards

Riyadh, September 15, 2025 — Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture, honored Manga Productions with the For-Profit Cultural Institutions Award at the 5th edition of the National Cultural Awards, organized by the Ministry of Culture at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. The ceremony was attended by senior dignitaries, leaders of the cultural ecosystem, writers, artists, and media professionals.

A subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), Manga Productions continues to achieve distinguished milestones in its creative journey, reaffirming its leadership in content creation and in taking Saudi culture to a global audience. The National Cultural Awards are among the Kingdom’s most prominent cultural initiatives, aligned with the National Culture Strategy to foster creativity, strengthen national pride, support global cultural exchange, and contribute to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.

This recognition reflects Manga Productions’ impact in showcasing Saudi culture globally through its anime, gaming, and Manga projects. In a few short years, the company has built a strong international presence through partnerships with leading global studios and initiatives that nurture and empower national talent. Manga Productions has also been a pioneer in education, introducing the “Manga Education Program” curriculum in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, benefiting more than 3 million students via “Madrasti” platform, and training over 4,000 talents across creative content disciplines.

These achievements add to Manga Productions’ track record of audience reach and media impact, including over 1.1 billion total content views across 100+ streaming platforms, 4,000+ regional and international media mentions, 15 million+ Manga reads, and 1 million+ mobile game downloads. The company also received the Innovation Award from the UTA Digital Entertainment Network for its VR experience “Adventures of AlUla,” and won the Septimius Award in Amsterdam for “The Journey” as Best Experimental Film, the first Saudi and Arab feature to receive this honor at an international festival.
